Why did we do the 3 Day Refresh? Several people had asked me about the program so I was a little curious. Over the holidays my husband and I indulged a bit so getting a fresh start sounded like a great idea. We had done a juice cleanse before so one with actual food sounded quite doable. With a trip coming up in March I also wanted to evaluate if the 3 Day Refresh would get us “beach ready” instead of following a Carb Cycling Plan like we normally do.

What do you Eat on the 3 Day Refresh
During the program you’ll drink shakes, lots of water and eat actual food! The meals are spaced out so you eat about every 3 hours.
First, you’ll start your day with Shakeology along with a fruit from the food list. Pretty much a normal breakfast at our house.
Then, your mid-morning “snack” is the Fiber Sweep drink.
I was a little nervous about the Fiber Sweep shake. The name alone had me glad that I work from home. But we didn’t really experience any “cleansing” effects that had us running to the bathroom. So no need to worry.
I was also afraid I wouldn’t like the flavor. But it wasn’t bad at all. Do be warned that when it says to drink immediately because it will thicken they are not lying. I took my time drinking it the first day and wasn’t able to get it all down because it got really thick.
Then, I saw someone on Instagram chug the Fiber Sweep drink. I decided to follow that example and had no problem drinking it the next two days.
For lunch you’ll have the high-protein Vanilla Fresh shake with fruit, vegetables and a healthy fat.
Again I was afraid I wasn’t going to like the flavor of the Vanilla shake. To be honest it tastes a bit chalky. I blended it with water and ice in the blender and added a dash of cinnamon. The cinnamon really helped.
Your afternoon snack is veggies and a healthy fat. I stuck with my go-to carrots & hummus.
Lastly, for dinner you’ll have another Vanilla Fresh shake with an easy to prepare dinner of veggies and healthy fat. There are several dinner recipes to choose from. The Veggie Stir Fry was delicious and had me actually looking forward to eating veggies.

Working Out During 3 Day Refresh
Should you workout during the 3 Day Refresh? That’s really up to you.
Beachbody recommends mild to moderate exercise during the 3-Day Refresh because the program will be more effective when your body can focus on cleansing.
My husband and I both did our normal workouts during the Refresh. I did Barre Blend with no problems. You may want to modify or lessen the intensity of your workout.
3 Day Refresh Results
My husband and I, along with several people from the What’s Working Here community, completed the 3 Day Refresh together. And our results seem to be quite similar across the board.
We all lost a couple of pounds and were surprised at how easy it was to complete. A few of us experienced a slight headache. But overall agree that it was a great way to reset our eating habits.
