What Is Ultimate Portion Fix
First, a quick overview of Ultimate Portion Fix . Carb Cycling Eating Plan
According to the Portion Fix materials carb cycling is designed to help you temporarily shed weight quickly in a healthy manner. It should only be used when you need to drop weight for a specific event. The carb cycling plan can be used for 3 weeks max with a 3-month break before doing it again. If you carb cycle too often your body will get used to it and the plan won’t work as well.
With carb cycling you are basically dropping water weight. Your muscles contain glycogen which contains water. When you reduce glycogen by reducing carbs you’re losing water weight. You do also lose a little fat. But when you go back to normal eating a lot of the weight you lose will come back.
On carb depletion days you are cutting out your healthy fats, seeds & dressings, fruits and most of your carbs while increasing your lean proteins, oils & nut butters. Vegetables stay the same.
As someone who loves her carbs I must say it’s not easy, but it is very effective. Meal prepping and having the food ready to grab and go makes it much easier to stick with the plan.
Carb Cycling Variations
The regular carb cycling plan involves two days of carb depletion followed by one day of regular eating. The Ultimate Portion Fix also includes a modified carb cycling plan. On the modified plan you simply switch the two and do one day of carb depletion followed by two days of regular eating. It’s a great way to ease into carb cycling and give it a try if you’ve never done it before.
