Keep in mind the sample workout is a mash-up of all the different workouts. It’s designed to give you an idea of what to expect with each workout. So the flow is a little choppy and it feels sort of like an infomerical. But it’s a great way to see what the program is all about.
Barre Blend Workout Calendar
The Barre Blend Workout Calendar is divided into four phases. Following the calendar you will workout five days a week with two rest days. On rest days you have the option of doing one of the recovery workouts if you would like.
Equipment Needed
You might be surprised to find out that a ballet barre is not required to do the workouts. You can use any sturdy household object at the right height. A chair, sofa back or countertop works well.
You will also need a set of light dumbbells. 1- to 5-lb. weights work well for most people. I’ve been using 2lb weights and sometimes have to set them down. I’m thinking about purchasing a pair of 1lb weights.
Optional Equipment:
Trainer Elise Joan has also created “I AM” Daily Motivation Cards with her most inspirational messages to help you cultivate a positive mindset every day.

Barre Blend Results
Lean legs, a lifted booty, chiseled waist and defined arms are the results Barre Blend claims you’ll see after 60 days of the program. After completing the program I can tell you these are exactly the results you’ll get.
Just halfway through the program I noticed (or should I say my husband noticed) my booty is a little higher and tighter. I can tell a difference in the way my pants fit because of my fuller, lifted bottom!
I am pleased to see a cinching in of my waist and oblique muscles popping out. My shoulders are more defined and my legs and arms have a leaner, toned look.
I’m very pleased with the results considering I followed the mid-line or modifier most of the time.
Barre Blend Review
While I am pleased with the results, I have to be honest and tell you that it wasn’t my favorite program. I hate to say anything negative about something I know Elise and the team put so much into. But the truth is that everything isn’t always for everybody.
I like to know the outline of a workout and never felt quite sure what we were going to do next. For example, with 21 Day Fix Autumn tells you you’re going to do 4 sets of 2 exercises for one minute each. With Barre Blend I would have liked to of known the structure- we’re going to start with 10 minutes at the barre and move to center work, etc.
I didn’t enjoy the music. I guess I was spoiled by Morning Meltdown 100’s live music. Barre Blend’s music, set and production reminded me a lot of Brazil Butt Lift.
Since I used to dance I think I was expecting more flowy, slow paced movements. There was one ballet class I took during a visit to LA where the teacher used Fiona Apple for barre and center work. I loved it. Barre Blend’s music is more of an up-tempo music bed, cardio style.
Some of the moves that were supposed to be fun I felt really silly doing.
If I really think back to other dance classes in my past, ballet was never my favorite. Since it’s the foundation of all dance it was more of a necessary evil for me. So not enjoying Barre Blend that much shouldn’t be a big surprise.
While I may not have enjoyed the program there are thousands of other people who loved it! My advice would be to give it a try and see for yourself.
