The great thing about the 2B Mindset nutrition program is how flexible it is. We have a few events to plan around this week so it’s nice knowing I can stay on track even while eating out. Check out what is on this week’s 2B Mindset based menu.
Meal Planning Around Events
One of the very first things I do when I meal plan is enter in any events that we have going on for the week. It’s one thing to plan an amazing menu for the week, it’s another to plan something you can actually follow. Check out my post on Menu Planning in 3 Easy Steps to learn more.
When you are meal planning be sure to take into account any events you may have during the week. Also, understand your natural patterns. For example, my son has football practice on Wednesday nights. Since I know this, I will usually try to plan something for dinner that can be ready when we get home, like a slow cooker meal. The past few Wednesdays however, we’ve ended up getting something to eat on the way home. Thank goodness Chick-fil-a has some healthier options!
This week, I’ve just planned for us to grab something on the way home from practice. Then, instead of eating out on Friday, I’ve got a meal to cook at home. We still end up eating out the same amount of times for the week. Since I’ve planned ahead I won’t feel like a failure on Wednesday going through the drive thru.
