School clothes shopping is pretty much done at my house. I didn’t even have to leave home. Or search on-line for clothes either. I filled out a little info and a few days later a box of clothes showed up at my front door. If you’re like me and aren’t a fan of shopping, especially with your kids, you’ll want to check out this Stitch Fix Kids Review and see how simple shopping can be.
Shopping Made Simple
I don’t know about you but I’m not much of a fan of clothes shopping. Especially dragging along my son, who would rather be anywhere else, to try on clothes. For years I’ve been avoiding the mall and getting new, stylish clothes sent directly to my house through Stitch Fix. I love the service and have gotten fixes for my husband, mom and sister.
When I heard Stitch Fix started styling kids I wasn’t sure it would be a fit for my 9 year old son. But his first Stitch Fix Kids shipment has changed my mind.
How Stitch Fix Kids Works
Stitch Fix Kids works a little differently than their Women’s, Men’s, Plus Size and Maternity offering. Here’s a quick run down of how the kids styling service works. For full details check out my post announcing Stitch Fix Kids.

Stitch Fix Kids Unboxing
One of the things that makes receiving a fix fun is the element of surprise. It’s like unwrapping a gift on your birthday or Christmas morning. I’m also a sucker for packaging and Stitch Fix Kids does a great job. The packaging includes bright colors, a sticker sheet and encourages kids to creatively reuse their Stitch Fix Kids box.
Stitch Fix Kids Review
My son was nice enough to model his Stitch Fix Kids shipment for me. It helped that he was actually excited about the clothes.
First, he tried on the Rex Short Sleeve Hoodie and Louis Short both by Hurley. I’ve never really understood short sleeve hoodies but my son thought this one was the coolest. He had actually asked me a couple days before we did the try-on if he could wear it to play.
The back of the hoodie has a cool turquoise graphic. The shorts are printed with surfboards, palm trees, anchors and skulls.
Next, he tried on the Lewis Graphic Tee by Hurley. The turquoise shirt has a fun print with a shark in a bow tie wearing nerdy glasses. It’s the perfect first day of school outfit.
After that we paired the Maximus Embossed Graphic Tee by Hollywood with the James Color Blocked Knit Short by Brooklyn Cloth. The light blue top has a raised dinosaur design. My son really likes the texture. The grey shorts are soft and super comfy.
Then, he tried on the Wing Man Classic Short Sleeve Graphic Tee by Rumi+Ryder with the Jordan Stretch Poplin Cargo shorts by Tailor Vintage. The navy t-shirt has velvety yellow raised wing man writing and a bat logo that my son thinks is pretty cool. The shorts are nice and lightweight and perfect for school.
Can you tell my son was getting tired of me giving him modeling directions. Just look at that serious face. He tried on the Stay Wild Classic Short Sleeve Graphic Tee by Rumi+Ryder with the Arlo Short by Andy & Evan. The soft lightweight shirt is another great school piece. The navy shorts have a bit of a textured stripe to them and a comfy fit.
Lastly, happy to be done, he tried on the Silas Raglan Henley Tee by Capsule with the Arlo Short from Andy & Evan. The soft raglan shirt is super comfy. Can you name that Fortnite dance move?
My son loved all 10 of the pieces in his first Stitch Fix Kids box. We ended up keeping everything. Which means we got a 25% discount! I was impressed with how well everything fit and matched his style. I would also consider most of the prices a steal, especially with the discount. I’ve got to say this was the easiest back to school shopping I’ve ever done.
