Even through these crazy times I’m still making a weekly meal plan. I’m sticking with Portion Fix Timed Nutrition as I complete 21 Day Fix Real Time. See what’s on this week’s menu, how my grocery shopping trip went and adjustments I’m making.
Making plans during these unprecedented times might seem a bit silly to some. But having a plan gives you a starting point. From there you can make adjustments.
And that is just what I did this week. I planned my weekly menu as I normally do. Not knowing what would actually be on store shelves I still made my plan. I went into the store with an open mind making note of any adjustments I may need to make along the way.
To my surprise I found everything I needed with one exception- carrots. Yep, for some reason the store was still out of carrots. So instead of carrots & hummus as a snack I plan to swap out the carrots with mini bell peppers which I was able to find.
As I went through the store and found things that were not available last week (bok choy, ginger, bagels & such) it made me excited and appreciative of the abundance that we currently have.
So yes, continue to make a plan. Just be prepared to make adjustments along the way.
