It’s week 3 of 80 Day Obsession and I’m happy to say it’s been going good so far. Prepping meals ahead of time really makes it easy to stay on track with my eating. If you’re not a fan of meal prepping I’ve got a meal prep cheat for you to get it done without any of the work.
Meal Prep Cheat
Pre-portioning your meals into ready to heat and eat containers is a great way to keep your eating on track. Unfortunately, meal prepping can sometimes be a little bit overwhelming. Repeating the same meals more than once a week is one way to make meal prep easier. But, you still have to wash, chop, cook and place the meals into containers. That takes a lot of time.
When I’m short on time or have just run out of energy to meal prep I just grab some HEB Meal Simple meals. It’s my meal prep cheat. There are plenty of healthy meals to choose from. Most of the meals follow the 80 Day Obsession combination of Red, Yellow, Green (Protein, Carb, Veggie). They are pre-portioned in microwave/oven safe trays.
Some of our favorites:
- Salmon, Potatoes, asparagus
- Chicken, Potatoes, Broccoli
- Steak, Potatoes, Asparagus
You can read all about HEB Meal Simple in this post. We really do eat them a lot at our house. You’ll see them in this week’s menu. You could also grab healthy, pre-portioned meals from places like Snap Kitchen.
