9 Week Control Freak Overview
Do you love the results you got from 80 Day Obsession but don’t have an hour to workout every day? Then you will be so excited for Autumn’s newest fitness program. 9 Week Control Freak will help you build muscle, shed fat, boost endurance, and increase definition faster than you ever thought possible!
According to Autumn she created the program “specifically for anyone that has little time to workout but still wants to burn off a ton of fat.”
Take a peek.
The program is broken into three 3-week phases which increase in intensity.
The focus is on taking control of all the things in your life including nutrition, exercise & sleep.
The Workouts
There are 5 workouts a week:
- 3 “DCT” which combine three training styles in the same workout (Density Training, Strength Complexes, Tabata)
- 1 Total-Body Toning
- 1 Express Cardio & Core
Each workout is about 20-30 minutes.
In addition there are supplemental 10-minute workouts that target certain muscle groups.
To round out your self-care the program also includes 5-10 min end of the day sessions. Using stretching and other restorative techniques you’ll boost blood flow, ease muscle tension, and enhance your body’s natural repair and recovery processes to help optimize your results.
9 Week Control Freak Equipment Needed
The program makes use of fitness equipment you probably already have as well as some exciting new pieces:
- Dumbbells
- Step
- Control Track
- Core Ball
You will need all the equipment to do the program. The Control Track can be hung on a door or wall.
9 Week Control Freak Off The Wall
Don’t have a spot to put the Control Track? Well, after hearing feedback from customers who really wanted to do the program but weren’t able to because of the equipment, Beachbody is announcing a dumbbells-only version of the program.
9 Week Control Freak Off the Wall includes 15 workouts. There are five workouts for each phase of the program. Each phase of five workouts is designed to be repeated for 3 weeks.
The only equipment needed is dumbbells.
If you’ve already purchased 9 Week Control Freak you will receive access to Off the Wall as a free bonus.
Off The Wall Review
I did one week of each phase of 9 Week Control Freak Off the Wall after completing the regular 9 Week Control Freak program.
I felt like we got through more rounds of the density portion of the workout since we weren’t having to mess with the track, step and ball. Which means a lot of time spent holding weights. My forearms were so sore. I’m not sure I could do Off the Wall as a full 9 Week Program.
9 Week Control Freak Sample Workout
The 9 Week Control Freak Sample workouts gives you a taste of the Tabata element of the program. The sample workout does not require any equipment.

9 Week Control Freak Results
I don’t really like posting my before and after pictures. To be honest I kept putting off actually taking my after pictures.
My nutrition was about 75% during the program. I’ve struggled with eating too many treats like chips, cookies and candy.
Instead of taking pictures at the end of the 9 week program I waited until I did 3 weeks of Off the Wall to see if I could rein things in.
I did a little but not completely. It’s not like you can never have treats. I was just having too many. The Portion Fix program gives you 3 a week, not 3 a day.
But I will say I’m proud of the muscle definition I gained during the program. I feel stronger and my endurance has increased.
I really enjoyed the style and variety of workouts. The shorter workout times are nice. They take 30 minutes or less but you get a great deal of work done in that time. It was also motivating to compete against myself in the density rounds and each week in the total body tone days. I did the evening stretches and thought they were a great way to wind down at the end of the day. I look forward to doing the program again.
