When my favorite styling service, Stitch Fix, announced they are now offering Stitch Fix Men I knew I had to schedule a fix for my husband! And yes, I got him to model his fix! Read all the way down to see what he received.
For many years I was a member of a gym, like ever since high school. And while I’ve always known the importance of exercising and staying fit, going to the gym wasn’t something I particularly enjoyed doing. As a wife and now mom there are just so many other things (laundry, meal planning, grocery shopping, etc.) that need to get done. My husband on the other hand could spend hours at the gym. He loves to workout. Our approaches to the gym were very different. I wanted to get in and out as quickly as possible. Before we had B, spending an entire Saturday morning at the gym was his idea of a good time, not mine. I would anxiously watch the clock and think about all the things I needed to get done before I could do some actual weekend relaxing. It happened to work out perfectly that I was 8 months pregnant when we moved and talked about switching gyms. One of the things we wanted in a new house was a “home gym”- among other things. Luckily, we were able to find a home that met those needs. I prefer working out first thing in the morning so I get it done and over with. Otherwise, I’m tired by the end of the day and full of excuses. With a new baby and an area to workout in at home I told my husband that I didn’t need a gym membership anymore- I think I’m going to try one of those Beachbody programs from the infomercials. You know the ones you get sucked into watching. Whoever produces those does such a great job! I mean why do they draw you in so much? My husband is not allowed to write on my grocery list. The reason: I write my grocery list out in the order of the aisles I go down. This way I’m not jumping from aisle to aisle for things. I also don’t have to use a pen to mark off items. Instead I just fold my list as I go to “mark” the items I’ve gotten. Check out my post on The Easiest Way to Grocery Shop for more grocery shopping tips.
After seeing all the cute fall items my favorite bloggers received I decided I needed a Fall fix of my own.
You may have caught my Unboxing Video and got a peek at the items that Rachel picked out for me. My only request was a plaid top I saw in another blogger’s fix and a puffy vest. And while they didn’t have the plaid top I wanted, I thought Rachel did a great job finding something just as cute! Continue reading “October Stitch Fix Review – A Fall Fix”
*I was compensated by HEB to promote their Meal Simple meals. I only write about products and services I love and therefore all opinions are my own honest opinion.
I am so excited to give HEB’s Meal Simple a try. If you follow my Weekly Menu you know we’ve got quite the busy schedule with B’s baseball and soccer practices and games. You may have even read my post about our favorite On The Go Meals. Yes, I sometimes cook and pack up our dinner to eat on the way home from a practice or game. My mom says I’m so much like my grandmother in that way 🙂 I do remember going on trips with my grandparents and Nanny would pack us sandwiches to eat on the way. I even remember one time when my grandparents came to watch me perform in college as a Rangerette and brought sandwiches for the ride home:) Also, much like my grandparents we eat dinner at 6:00. So by the time a 6:00 baseball game ends I’m about ready to eat my arm off. That’s why I’ve started packing dinners for us to eat on the way home so we don’t reach for junk food. The Meal Simple meals from HEB are going to make eating healthy on the go that much easier. Continue reading “Quick & Easy Healthy Meals from HEB Meal Simple”
After seeing so many great Fall Fixes from my favorite bloggers I decided I needed to schedule a Fall Fix of my own! In the notes to my stylist I requested the cute flannel top Kim over at Kim’s Cravings recently received and a puffy vest.
Check back the 1st week of October for my full review and to see how things worked out when I tried them on.

An easy way to keep your Kid’s Closet cleaned out is having a place to put clothes they’ve outgrown. I placed a bin in the top of B’s closet. Anytime I see him wear something that looks a bit small, instead of hanging it back up after I do his Laundry I simply put it in the bin. Once the bin is full I take it upstairs to the closet where I store the clothes we pass down to his cousin. My husband and I have a bin in Our Closet as well that gets taken to a local donation center when it’s full.
Happy 1st Day of Fall! I love the change of seasons and I’m so excited to break out my pumpkin scented everything! Today I’m sharing how I add a touch of Fall to our home.
Keep track of how long you’ve had lotions, make-up and other beauty products by using a sharpie to write your own expiration date on products. In my post on Bathroom Organization I included a handy little chart of how long you should keep your make-up and other toiletry items.
For items like coffee creamer and other refrigerated items that tell you they are good for 2 weeks once opened I usually take a sharpie and write the date I need to throw it out. I can never seem to remember when I opened it so this has helped me avoid consuming iffy items.
Pumpkin, pumpkin everywhere, must mean fall is right around the corner. Even though it’s still 90 degrees here in Texas I’ve already purchased some pumpkin to start making those warm & cozy fall recipes. Today I’m sharing a few of my favorite pumpkin recipes. These are all recipes I’ve actually made (many times) and my family LOVES. My husband and son were actually drooling over the thought of having these recipes when I asked them their favorites.
