Another busy week as winter and spring sports overlap, which means I’m depending on my Slow Cooker and Instant Pot to get dinner on the table. I love that the Instant Pot can function as both. I recently ordered the glass lid on Amazon for when I use the Instant Pot as a slow cooker. I haven’t gotten rid of my slow cooker though. Continue reading “Weekly Menu 2/19/17”
February is kicking my butt. Why are so many things packed into such a short month? Needless to say my menu planning has gotten a little lax. We’re still doing Core de Force, and already noticing results, but I’m not using the 21 Day Fix tally sheets to create a portion controlled menu. I’m relying heavily on Instant Pot & Slow Cooker recipes to get dinner on the table. Continue reading “Weekly Menu 2/12/17”
It’s Super Bowl Sunday! Which to me really just means yummy party food and new commercials. We’re not having a party this year because we participate in a BBQ Cook-Off that happens to be the same weekend. Which is why I served hangover foods at last year’s Super Bowl Party. Check out my hangover menu here and other Super Bowl Party ideas here. Even though we’re not having people over I’m still making a 7-layer dip because to me it’s just not Super Bowl without it! We’ve got Super Bowl fever here in Houston! With all the events and parties leading up to the big game you might find yourself with a hangover before the game even starts. I’m sharing my Super Bowl Party Hangover Menu to get you through the game.

We’re starting Core De Force this week! I’m really excited to start this new program. I’ve heard so many good things about how fun & challenging the workouts are. Once we finish the program I’ll be sure to give you a full review.

Recently I found myself on an impromptu business trip. My original plans to stop and spend the night at my grandparents got changed with the addition of another meeting. Now instead of spending the night at their house I would be staying at a hotel. No big deal. Since I was in the middle of the 21 Day Fix Program I would just bring the DVD with me and do one of the workouts that didn’t require weights. Great plan. Until I realized that plan wasn’t really going to work. Continue reading “On Demand Workouts That Travel With You”
We’ve reached week 3, the final week of the 21 Day Fix! Woohoo! I’d love to tell you that I’ve been sticking with the meal plans exactly as I laid them out but that would be a total lie. Continue reading “Weekly Menu 1/22/17”
After seeing my Blue Apron videos and review a friend of mine suggested I give HelloFresh a try! I’m always down for trying something new so I got online and signed up for my 1st shipment.

It’s Week 2 of the 21 Day Fix for us so I’ve got another week of color coded meals planned. I created a modified version of my “On the Diet” Menu Planning System for the 21 Day Fix. I’ve got colored coded cards for each food group to help me mix things up a bit. I usually start planning lunch and dinner and fill in the other containers after I have those set. I’m working on making these systems available to you in the near future. Continue reading “Weekly Menu 1/15/17”
I was recently given the opportunity to try out the new men’s clothing service ThreadLab. According to their website ThreadLab is “a scientific, data-driven men’s clothing service for regular guys who don’t like to shop. (No Subscription required.)”
