This week I’m diving into the 28 Day Real Food Recharge. I’m so excited to try some new, delicious recipes. See what’s on this week’s menu and what we’re having on Mother’s Day.
Real Food Recharge
For the next few weeks I’ll be following the Real Food Recharge. It’s from Naturopathic Doctor, Dr. Kimberley O’Brien, who also created The Elimination Diet Meal Plan which I am a huge fan of. Her meal plans and recipes are delicious and simple to make.
After following the 5 Day Kickstart plan a few weeks ago I can’t wait to try more of her delicious recipes.
The Real Food Recharge is designed to minimize inflammatory foods in your diet while fueling your body with nutrients that support hormone balance, a lean body composition and an abundance of energy!

I think it’s important to have realistic expectations for your family for holidays like Mother’s Day. It’s not fair to expect your husband or children who’ve never made brunch before to suddenly become overnight chefs on Mother’s Day. We usually go out for brunch. I’m not sure we will actually go to a restaurant this year but we will probably do take-out.
It’s also not fair to secretly know how you’d like Mother’s Day to go but not tell your family and then be all disappointed. If you don’t want to cook & clean on Mother’s Day, don’t. If you want your family to do all the cooking and cleaning let them know that’s what you want. Want flowers, a gift or just time spent together- let them know.
I do not cook or clean on Mother’s Day. As I mentioned we usually go out for brunch. I put my husband in charge of dinner. This year I’m having him make his speciality steak.
