Family Meal Plan
I’ve been asked recently if the meal plans I create are just for me. The answer is yes and no.
Yes, because I plan my weekly menu around my Ultimate Portion Fix meal plan bracket which is Meal Plan B.
No, because the meal plans are also what my family eats. I make one dinner that we all eat.
My husband has Shakeology for breakfast every day. He will sometimes take leftovers to the office for lunch or go out. His snacks are usually different than mine unless I make them for him and package them up for him to take to work.
My husband doesn’t follow Portion Fix unless we’re getting ready for a vacation and really dialing things in. When I need to plan for his containers I start with my meal plan and just add in extra containers for him. I find it’s easier to add extra containers than take them away.
My son will occasionally have Shakeology for breakfast but usually heats up something from the freezer for breakfast like a breakfast bowl or sausage biscuit. He typically buys his lunch at school and I buy him snacks like granola bars and goldfish. If I have fruit & veggies cut up and ready to eat in the fridge he’ll snack on those as well.
So don’t be afraid to make your meal plan for you and then tweak things as necessary for your family. There’s no need to create totally different meal plans. It’s all normal food your family can eat.
