This week I’m breaking down how I quickly & easily plan my meals. See how you can do it too and check out what is on this week’s menu.
Make it Easy
Meal planning and putting meals on the table doesn’t have to be hard. Too often I believe we make things harder than they need to be. We think, “Oh, I’m following this meal plan and if I want it to work I’ve got to work really hard at it.”
But the truth is, Portion Fix was really designed to be easy to follow. Your meal plans don’t have to be sophisticated and the food doesn’t have to be fancy for it to work.
I suggest planning only a few meals for the week and alternating them for variety. I eat five meals a day, seven days a week. But I don’t sit down and try to come up with 35 different meals every week.
Here’s how I do it:
- Meal 1: I drink my Shakeology with fruit & sometimes veggies blended in
- Meal 2: I pick two for the week and alternate them
- Meal 3: Leftovers for lunch from dinner the night before
- Meal 4: I pick two for the week and alternate them
- Meal 5: I pick a different dinner meal for four nights of the week, we have a leftover night and we eat out or order in on Friday & Saturday
Breaking my meal planning down helps me get it done quickly & easily. The meals don’t have to be complex either. You can make things like spaghetti and tacos with healthy ingredients and they are quick & easy to make.
