This week we’ve got quite a bit going on- a football game, soccer practice and a trip with friends. Which is why there is a little bit of everything on this week’s meal plan. When things get a little crazy like this it is so important to plan ahead.
Taking the time to plan will help you make sure you’ve got enough time to actually cook the meals you’ve planned.
We’ve also added a little carb-cycling to this week’s meal plan to tighten things up before our vacation. Carb Cycling is not just something you can wake-up and decide to do. It’s more than just cutting out carbs, you’ve got to make sure you’re getting enough calories in and eating enough to keep your blood sugar regulated. It takes a little planning ahead.
Vacation Meal Planning
If you’re renting a house for vacation and cooking most of your meals I highly suggest planning your meals out ahead of time. Then you can enjoy your time away instead of wasting time worrying about what you’re going to eat.
If you’re taking a road trip I suggest grocery shopping before your trip, especially if you’re picky. You never know what the grocery stores where you are staying are going to have. We usually just pack the cold items in a cooler with ice.
Meal planning for vacation is pretty much the same as meal planning when you’re home. You’ll want to take into account any activities and plan around them accordingly. You’ll also want to confirm what cooking supplies & appliances will be available for you. For example, the cabin we are staying in has a grill so I planned some dinners that can be cooked on the grill. I’ll probably still bring my NutriBullet to blend up my smoothies.
