I’m still following the Real Food Recharge this week but with a few tweaks. See how you can easily make a meal plan work for you.
Meal Plan
I love to have a plan to follow when it comes to what we’re eating for the week. Sitting down and figuring out a meal plan for the week means less decisions you have to make every single day.
Instead of stopping before each meal and thinking what on Earth am I going to eat right now, I simply glance at the menu on my fridge and grab whatever it says. By sitting down and planning once a week I save myself from at least five decisions a day or 35 decisions a week.
Following a plan that someone else has made makes things even easier. That’s why I share my weekly menu with you every week.
But what if you don’t like everything on the plan or are following a plan with more containers? What do you do then?
Menu Tweaks
That’s when you make some tweaks. There are very few meal plans that are all or nothing. You can always make adjustments.
There are tons of meal plans out there on Beachbody, Pinterest, on this site and a variety of other websites. The meal plans are there to help you save time and add some variety into your menus.
I’ve seen people asking questions like “I don’t like melon can I still follow the sample meal plan?”
Um, yes!
There is no reason to disregard a meal plan because it has something on it you don’t like or can’t eat. That’s when you make some adjustments. Don’t like melon, swap out another fruit and enjoy some strawberries instead.
If you’re checking out my Portion Fix meal plans but aren’t on Plan B like me, you can always add or subtract containers to make the plan work for you.
While I’m still following the Real Food Recharge I’m making a few tweaks to the menu this week.
I’m subbing in my Shakeology instead of the smoothies on the plan. I’ve tried all of the smoothies and while they are delicious I also enjoy my Shakeology.
I’m also using the meal plan format I’m used to doing:
- Alternating 2 Different Morning Snacks
- Alternating 2 Different Afternoon Snacks
- Using Leftovers from Dinner for Lunch
