Summer is almost here! Our last day of school is Friday and we leave for vacation the same day. Which means we’re buckling down on our nutrition on our meal plan and weekly menu. But, not before firing up the grill for Memorial Day.
Thank you to all of the men & women (and their families) who have served our country and especially those who paid the ultimate price for our freedom.
Memorial Day Grilling
Just because you’re eating healthy doesn’t mean you have to miss out on cooking out. In fact, there are many healthy meals you can cook on the grill. Our weekly menu includes two this week. We plan on enjoying lean burgers and salmon cooked on the grill.
I’ll probably also have some festive red, white & blue snacks and drinks as well. There are some great ideas for patriotic treats in this 4th of July Round-Up!
3 Day Quick Fix Meal Plan
After the holiday we will be doing Autumn’s 3 Day Quick Fix from the 21 Day Fix program. The meal plan is designed to help you get a lean look and show off all the muscles you’ve been working on sculpting. You’re basically only eating protein and veggies with very little carbs.
The surprising thing is that you’re not starving yourself, you’re actually eating a lot of food. 6 meals a day in fact. We’ve done it before and I wasn’t able to eat all the food on the plan. We will see how I do this time around. I will say that just from reducing carbs with last week’s meal plan I’ve noticed a difference in my tummy and muscle definition.
