I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. After all the cooking and feasting last week, I’m making this week’s menu simple by diving into my freezer. All the meals on this week’s menu are leftovers I put away in the freezer. Take a look in your own freezer for easy menu planning. Not to mention freezer meals make cooking a breeze.
Like the idea of heat and eat meals but have an empty freezer? Just take any leftovers you usually have and save them for future meals. Let your food cool first. Then place in a freezer bag. Be sure to press all the air out. Label your leftovers so you know what you’ve got, including the date. Leftovers generally last in the freezer for about 3 months.
When you’re ready to eat your freezer meal, let it thaw in the fridge over night. Then you can microwave or heat it up in the oven. You may want to sprinkle some water on top to prevent your freezer meal from drying out while reheating.
