My son is heading back to school this week which means we’re getting back into crazy practice schedule season. See how I meal plan around the craziness and what is on this week’s menu.

Back to School Meal Planning
Getting dinner on the table after running kids around to practices can seem impossible. But with a little planning you can still feed your family healthy home-cooked meals. You just may not be around the dinner table to enjoy eating them.
It’s important to write out your meal plan for the week and make note of any events or activities you have going on. This will let you know how much time you actually have to cook the meals you’ve planned.
For nights when you get home right around dinner time, planning ahead and making dinner in your slow cooker is a great idea. On those nights that you get home way past dinner time I suggest packing your dinner and eating it on the go. I’ve sat in my car many times enjoying a homemade meal while watching my son’s soccer practice.
