Multiple Container Plans
When you have a friend or family member join you in following a nutrition or fitness program you are much more likely to stick with it and get the results you want. I’ve had many people ask me about meal planning for multiple container plans. Since the Portion Fix and 4 Week Gut Protocol nutrition programs use weight to calculate how much you should be eating many people find themselves on a different container plan then their significant other.
For example, I am a 4 Week Gut Protocol Meal Plan A and my husband falls into Meal Plan C. The good news is meal planning for multiple container plans doesn’t mean double the work.
I suggest planning out your meals using the lower container plan first. Then, what I do is put a post-it note on my printed meal plan listing the extra containers my husband needs to eat each day.
For example, the difference between Plan A & Plan C is:
- 1 Green
- 1 Purple
- 1 Red A
- 1 Yellow A
- 2 TSPs
This way I know what extra containers I need to pack for him each day. For the extra green & red I usually just double something we are already having. I’ll throw an orange in with his lunch for an extra purple. At dinner when I usually don’t have a yellow I’ll add some brown rice for him. It’s really that simple.
