Meal Planning Tips
If you’re new to meal planning and struggling I have good news for you. The more you meal plan the easier it gets. You’ll start to realize what works for you and your family and what doesn’t.
But to get better at meal planning you’ve got to start meal planning and continue to meal plan. Here are a few tips to help you grow those meal planning muscles.
- Repeat Meals -I eat the same thing for breakfast every day. Then I choose two morning snacks for the week and two afternoon snacks. This will help you use up the groceries you buy and save time when you meal prep.
- Eat Leftovers– I eat leftovers for lunch every day. It’s one less meal to plan and buy. We also have a leftover night for dinner to help us eat all the food that’s been prepared so we’re not wasting any food.
- Use Other Meal Plans – There are tons of meal plans available through sites like Beachbody and Pinterest. You can find all my past meal plans in my archives. Use these as a starting point to plan your meals.
- Have a Go-To List– Create a list of go-to recipes you know your family enjoys and that fit with your eating plan. You can find step by step instructions in my post on creating a Healthy Meal Planning System.
