Meal planning doesn’t have to be hard. Check out this week’s meal plan and some tips on how to make meal planning easy.
Easy Meal Planning
It’s something we all know we should do but somehow never get around to doing- meal planning! You know the benefits. The fact that it will help you stay on track with your healthy eating and make life easier when you’re super busy.
I believe the reason most people don’t take the time to meal plan is because they over-estimate the time it will take to get it done. We tend to over-complicate things.
The truth is, meal planning can actually be quite easy. There are tons of tools out there to help you make meal planning easy. It’s one of the main things I try to do with this website.
You can use the hundreds of meal plans in my archives as a starting point to plan your meals. Most of my meal plans follow Portion Fix Meal Plan B. If you’re in Plan A just subtract a purple & yellow from each day. If you’re Plan C or higher just add additional containers.
That’s exactly how I planned this week’s meals. I pulled up one of my old menus and made a few tweaks. It’s really that simple.
Having a system in place for meal planning makes it easy.
Here’s how I break down my meal planning:
- Meal 1: I drink my Shakeology with fruit & sometimes veggies blended in
- Meal 2: I pick two for the week and alternate them
- Meal 3: Leftovers for lunch from dinner the night before
- Meal 4: I pick two for the week and alternate them
- Meal 5: I pick a different dinner meal for four nights of the week, we have a leftover night and we eat out or order in on Friday & Saturday
Breaking my meal planning down helps me get it done quickly & easily. The meals don’t have to be complex either. You can make things like spaghetti and tacos with healthy ingredients and they are quick & easy to make.
