Spring sports are starting to kick-off around here and that means meal planning is even more important. You want to be sure you’ve planned around practices and games so you can stay on track and avoid eating junk.
Freezer Clean-Out
At the beginning of January I did a fridge and pantry clean out but for some reason didn’t get around to cleaning out the freezer. This week I took inventory of what we had on hand and planned meals around those items.
Doing this every few months will help you save money at the grocery store and use up those items you’ve probably forgotten about.
Super Bowl Meal
Super Bowl around here is pretty low key since my husband’s big cook-off is also this weekend. No Super Bowl parties like in the past. Since it’s been cold here I planned to have Pot Roast on Sunday night for dinner. It fits with my 80 Day Obsession Meal Plan. I had to laugh when I went to look up the ingredients for my grocery list and saw that the recipe in my Betty Crocker Cookbook is called “New England Pot Roast”. How fitting for Super Bowl Sunday 🙂
