A classic BLT on toast is delicious but a little too messy to take on the go. This Turkey BLT Wrap is perfect for meal prep and eating on the go for breakfast, lunch, dinner or as a snack.

Turkey Bacon

Yes you can still enjoy the delicious taste of bacon while following Ultimate Portion Fix , turkey bacon that is. My family has been eating turkey bacon for so long that we actually prefer it over regular bacon. Especially when you see how much grease regular bacon creates. According to Healthline  turkey bacon has about 25% fewer calories and 35% less saturated fat than traditional pork bacon. While it may contain fewer calories and less fat turkey bacon is still a processed meat which is why you will find it at the bottom of the protein food list. It’s okay to enjoy but do so in moderation. 

Turkey BLT Wrap

A BLT is the perfect anytime meal. It can be eaten for breakfast, lunch, dinner or as a snack. Wrapping the ingredients up into a whole wheat tortilla gives you a portable meal you can take anywhere.  To increase the nutritional value consider swapping out lettuce for more nutrient dense spinach. I guess that would make this recipe a TBST Wrap- turkey bacon, spinach, tomato wrap.

Ingredients

  • 1 whole wheat tortilla
  • 4 slices cooked turkey bacon crumbled
  • 1/2 cup lettuce or spinach
  • 1/2 cup sliced tomato

Instructions

  1. Heat tortilla
  2. Next, top tortilla with lettuce or spinach & tomato slices
  3. Then, add crumbled turkey bacon
  4. Roll tortilla up tucking one end

Container counts = 1 Green, 1 Red, 1 Yellow
