I’ve got all the details of my latest Stitch Fix Review but more importantly I’m so excited to be participating in another giveaway with a great group of ladies. We’ve managed to top our last one and will be giving away a $700 Stitch Fix gift card to one lucky reader. So be sure to read all the way down to the bottom and enter to win!
Personal Stylist
In my latest Fix Kate, my personal stylist, sent me some fabulous pieces for the hotter months ahead. Unfortunately, she also informed me she will be out on maternity leave in a few weeks. My first reaction, “Ahhh! No, she totally gets me, don’t go!” So while I will miss getting my Kate Fixes it will be fun to see what another stylist will send my way. Congratulations Kate and enjoy the time with your new baby, I’ll miss you while you are gone.
That is one of the things that I think is really neat about the whole Stitch Fix experience. I really feel like you and your stylist get to know one another. I’ve heard stories of Stitch Fix clients receiving thoughtful notes and things in the mail after sharing with their stylist about a hard time or new job they may be starting. I feel like as a company Stitch Fix has created an outstanding culture that shines through in their service, which makes me want to support them even more.
Stitch Fix On Demand
Fix day is always fun and right now I have my fixes scheduled to arrive on demand instead of automatically. So whenever I feel like my closet needs a refresh or I have an event coming up I head to the Stitch Fix website or mobile App and schedule my fix.
I tried to channel my sister’s modeling skills (check out her 1st Fix here) during this month’s photo shoot. Tried being the key-word there. I also think my husband’s camera skills are getting better 🙂 Any tips and suggestions are always welcome.
This Month’s Stitch Fix Review
Skies are Blue Leslee Shirt Dress $68
So this dress is named for me (except they spelled my name wrong) how could I not keep it? There are so many things I enjoy about it.
It’s super comfortable and lightweight, perfect for steamy summer days. I like the bright colors and fun pattern.
And yes ladies, those are pockets! For whatever reason I just love a dress with pockets. I accessorized the dress with my Zad earrings from Fix #8 , a necklace from Express , my Zad cuff from Fix #9 and some brown wedges that I’ve had forever.
Diba Snakeskin Wedges $45
I also tried the dress with shoes Kate sent me. According to her note she picked them out based on the blue ankle strap heels I pinned to my Pinterest board. Unfortunately, these are not the same look at all. Since I’m short I like a higher heel and the style of these reminded me of something my grandmother would wear.
Papermoon Kelcey Tie Neck Knit Top $54
Next, I tried on the Papermoon top. I wasn’t too sure about the doily-like appliqué on the front and it was just too long on me.
I tried it with my Mavi jeans from Fix #12 and it still was just too long.
Kut From The Kloth Siena Cropped Pant
Then I tried it with the Kut From The Kloth cropped pants Kate sent but the proportions just weren’t right on me. I love the color of the pants but the length just didn’t hit me right. This would be a really cute outfit though. I even had my sister try the top on since she received a similar one in her fix but her’s was too short. She thought the appliqué looked like a bib and didn’t like the top either.
That’s the fun thing about Stitch Fix, you can always let friends and family give your items a try, especially if you like all the other pieces in your Fix and want to take advantage of the 25% discount for keeping all 5 items, or if you don’t want to lose your $20 styling fee by not keeping anything. Read more about Getting the Most out of Stitch Fix here.
Papermoon Bastille Tulip Sleeve Blouse $44
The last piece I received in my fix is this top from Papermoon. While the sleeve detail is fun the top really didn’t excite me. And after reviewing some of the photos I took it makes me look very boxy.
What I Kept
The only item I kept was the Leslee dress. I’ve already worn it to a graduation. I actually checked out on the Stitch Fix App while I was wearing it at the graduation. Talk about convenience!
