I’m trying to use all the fresh herbs I’ve been growing in the garden. So this week’s menu is made of fresh herb recipes. Check out what’s on this week’s menu and how you can grow herbs yourself even without a garden.
Growing Herbs
Fresh herbs are relatively easy to grow. I’ve had great success in growing basil, rosemary, lavender, mint, dill and cilantro (until it gets too hot outside). I mostly grow my herbs in window boxes or with the rest of my garden in a raised bed. You can learn more about easy ways to grow your own food here.
You can even grow herbs indoors, you don’t need a garden. Simply place cut herbs in water and watch them grow roots. The sage I planted outside was grown from cut sage I purchased at the grocery store. I just put it in water, waited for it to grow roots and then transferred it to my window box outside.
