It’s Week 2 of the 21 Day Fix for us so I’ve got another week of color coded meals planned. I created a modified version of my “On the Diet” Menu Planning System for the 21 Day Fix. I’ve got colored coded cards for each food group to help me mix things up a bit. I usually start planning lunch and dinner and fill in the other containers after I have those set. I’m working on making these systems available to you in the near future.
The thing I really like about the 21 Day Fix eating plan is you can eat pretty much anything you want. My husband requested pumpkin pancakes for breakfast. I paired them with turkey bacon and fruit, all on the eating plan (1 Yellow, 1 Red, 1 Purple). Also on the menu this week, steak with mushrooms, 1/2 baked potato with cheese and aspargus (1 Red, 2 Green, 1 Yellow, 1 Blue). So you don’t have deprive yourself of foods you love. For me the eating plan helps me balance out my carbs and eat more protein, fruits and veggies.
Again this week I have both versions of the menu, the regular version and the other is a spreadsheet I found on Fancy House Road you can use to tally up your containers. The spreadsheet makes menu planning for the 21 Day Fix so much easier.
