We visited Santa’s Wonderland in College Station for the first time last year and are looking forward to going again this year. We went with a group of friends the Friday before Christmas. The kids had early release from school so it gave us plenty of time to make the two hour trip to College Station, get there and get in line before it opened. We chose the VIP parking which allowed us to park close to the entrance. Surprisingly it wasn’t overly crowded.
Magical Atmosphere
Snow machines create the perfect Christmas atmosphere as you enter Santa Town.
Hayride
We went straight to the hayride and jumped right on. The lights are really well done and unique.
Speakers on the hayride play Christmas music to add to the festive atmosphere.
Food
After the hayride we grabbed dinner. There were many choices, burgers, bbq, pizza. B and I chose to roast our own hot dogs over the camp fire. After dinner we grabbed some hot chocolate and a funnel cake.
Santa
Then we headed over to the line to see Santa. After a bit of a wait the kids got a chance to visit with Santa. You can also purchase pictures but since this was B’s third time to see Santa this year we opted out.
Activities
After seeing Santa B took on the mechanical bull.
It was quite muddy when we visited so we ended our trip by purchasing some pants for B to wear home along with a stuffed snowman. The gift shop has all sorts of things for sale for kids and adults.
