Happy New Year and Happy 1 Year Anniversary to my blog! I’ve enjoyed sharing what’s been working here with you over the past year. I’m looking forward to tackling more organization projects, having fun and staying fit in the new year. I’ve got some new things planned for the blog in the coming year. I plan on bringing you Tip Tuesday with tips and ideas that I find helpful. I will be posting my weekly posts on Thursdays and Weekly Menus on Saturdays. I’m so excited to celebrate my 50th Blog post! I started this blog at the beginning of the year to share ideas in hopes of helping others. Hopefully you’ve found something useful, whether it’s a simple way to do something that makes life easier, a new workout to try or something just for fun. I’ve also come to enjoy blogging as a creative outlet. My goal for this year was to see if I could come up with content to consistently post on a weekly basis. I’ve been able to meet that goal and still have a list of potential topics for the next year, but I want to hear what you’d like to read about.

In honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month I wanted to share some ideas on how to support families who have a child that has been diagnosed with cancer. Last year our niece, Paige, was diagnosed with Leukemia at her one year check-up. I have so much respect for the strength and resiliency cancer children and their families demonstrate after seeing, only from afar, the terrifying journey Paige, Jay and Brandi have been on this past year.

Panera made headlines recently for becoming the first national restaurant company to share it’s list of unacceptable ingredients. In an effort to reduce the amount of artificial additives they created the “No,No list“. As someone who tries to eat more natural foods, I think it’s a step in the right direction and hope more restaurants follow their lead. But not just restaurants.
