You’ve probably seen the ads on tv and all over the internet for Beachbody’s latest fitness program, Core De Force. Since I’m a fan of many programs Beachbody offers and love kick-boxing, I couldn’t wait to give their new Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) program a try. But would it give me six-pack abs like the people in the infomercials? Read on to find out.
Recently I found myself on an impromptu business trip. My original plans to stop and spend the night at my grandparents got changed with the addition of another meeting. Now instead of spending the night at their house I would be staying at a hotel. No big deal. Since I was in the middle of the 21 Day Fix Program I would just bring the DVD with me and do one of the workouts that didn’t require weights. Great plan. Fitness is always on the top of many New Year’s Resolution lists. In order to keep my fitness goals I started planning out my fitness programs for the year (See my 2016 Plan). Staying healthy requires having a plan. I don’t really enjoy working out so having a plan and a program to follow helps me stay on track and stay motivated. Life before Beachbody
For many years I was a member of a gym, like ever since high school. And while I’ve always known the importance of exercising and staying fit, going to the gym wasn’t something I particularly enjoyed doing.
As a wife and now mom there are just so many other things (laundry, meal planning, grocery shopping, etc.) that need to get done. My husband on the other hand could spend hours at the gym. He loves to workout. Our approaches to the gym were very different. I wanted to get in and out as quickly as possible. Before we had our son, spending an entire Saturday morning at the gym was my husband’s idea of a good time, not mine. I would anxiously watch the clock and think about all the things I needed to get done before I could do some actual weekend relaxing.
