I was recently given the opportunity to try out the new men’s clothing service ThreadLab. According to their website ThreadLab is “a scientific, data-driven men’s clothing service for regular guys who don’t like to shop. (No Subscription required.)”
This week we’re kicking off our 2017 Fitness Plan with the 21 Day Fix. I usually struggle to put together this meal plan. It’s hard for me because when I plan our menu I think in terms of recipes. The 21 Day Fix (see my full review here) uses a color coded portion control system and requires you to think in terms of food groups. I usually try to break the recipes down into the food groups but this time I used my newly created 21 Day Fix Menu Planning System! It’s similar to my “On the Diet” Menu Planning System. I may have hinted at this before but I’m super excited to be working on making my simple Meal Planning Systems available to you soon! Let me know if you’ve like to be in the test group. Fitness is always on the top of many New Year’s Resolution lists. In order to keep my fitness goals I started planning out my fitness programs for the year (See my 2016 Plan). I don’t really enjoy working out so having a program to follow helps me stay on track and stay motivated. Also, I work out first thing in the morning to make sure I get it done. As a non-morning person this mean my brain is not fully functioning so not having to think about what I’m going to do is a plus. I literally roll out of bed, put on work out clothes, brush my teeth, pull my hair up in a messy pony tail, grab some water, consult my work out schedule, pop in the dvd and start following along. Some days it’s a slow start, arms crossed, halfway doing the warm-up, yawning, pouty face. But, eventually I get into it a little more and push harder. Vacations are always a good motivator!
I’ve mapped out a workout plan for the year with all my favorite Beachbody programs to help me stay on the right track. Actually doing the programs helps me push myself a little harder because I like to check off the boxes and complete each program. Happy New Year! Since I was a kid my family has gone out to eat for lunch on New Year’s Day at the Black Eyed Pea where we’d kick-off the new year with black eyed peas for luck and cabbage for wealth. Unfortunately, after all these years they’ve closed down. Not sure where we will end up for lunch but just in case I bought some black eyed peas and cabbage to have for dinner.
