So if you’ve been following along you’ve figured out I’m a big-time planner and list maker. I’ve shared my tips for Planning a Family Beach Vacation, Planning A Trip to Disney and today I’m going to share with you some of the “weird” things I do before a vacation. Oh sure I do all the normal list-making, packing, making sure the cat has extra food, the stove is turned off (OCD anyone?) and those sort of things. But, I also do a few additional things that are really all about making the idea of coming home more inviting. Continue reading “5 Weird Things I Do Before Vacation”
Today I’m sharing with you how I save money on my favorite snow cones and enjoy them straight from my freezer. No, this is NOT a sponsored post, I really am just that obsessed with Bahama Buck’s snow cones. Anytime I tell someone my snow cone secret I always get the same reply, “I didn’t know you could do that, what a great idea!”
I’ve made a video to tell you all about it and B even joined in on the fun, although he was a bit nervous in front of the camera 🙂
Yes, as much as my husband likes to make fun of me I am in a Bunco group. And I love it! To my husband, Bunco was something his mother used to do and yes the first group I subbed in was with some neighbors who are a little older than me. But my current group is filled with ladies that are about the same age as me and are in the same season of life.
In my opinion it’s important to surround yourself with like-minded people as you go through different seasons in life. When B was a baby I had a group of ladies that I would get together with, aka a Playgroup. We would share all our latest baby raising stories, ask our “is this normal questions”, enjoy a reason to get dressed and out of the house and some adult conversation. I’ve always felt really lucky to have had that sort of support as a new mom. Now as a mom of an elementary schooler it’s been great to have a group to talk with about new challenges and get ideas from.
You may be out of the baby food stage but don’t get rid of those baby spoons just yet. They are great for getting things like capers out of tall, thin jars.
I’ve decided to jump on the bandwagon and share my 1st Stitch Fix Unboxing Video! I requested dresses and rompers in this fix and was so excited about the items I got when I peeked at the style card.
Check back the 1st week of August for my full review and to see how things worked out when I tried them on. The dress I’m wearing in the video is from Fix #14.
