I struggle to drink enough water everyday. I know it’s important for so many reasons (health, skin, etc.) but I just don’t drink a lot. So I like to make my water a little more desirable by putting it in a fun cup with some fresh fruit or herbs like mint. I like to use a clear cup so I can see the fruit. The fruit adds just enough flavor to make me drink more than I normally would. My favorites are strawberry & mint and watermelon.

It’s easy for someone to say they want to eat better or get in shape as their goal for the year, but how do you know if you’ve accomplished your goal if you don’t have a way to measure it? When you’re setting goals be sure to put some basis of measurement in place so you’ll know if you’re successful.
Here are a few ideas to get you started:
- Instead of I want to lose weight: I want to lose 10 pounds by June.
- Instead of I want to save for retirement: I want to save 15% of my income for retirement.
- Instead of I want to exercise more: I want to complete the 21 Day Fix or train for and run a half marathon.
Wishing you much success in whatever goals you have for 2016! Share your goals in the comments below and I’ll check in with you to help you stick to and meet your goals. You can help me out too! You’re much more likely to work toward meeting your goals when you’ve got someone else to help keep you accountable.
